Sharing a verse with someone who needs it
Thoughtful ways to send Scripture to a friend — choosing the verse, the moment and the words around it.
By Random Verse Editorial ·

A verse sent at the right moment can be a gift. A verse sent carelessly can feel like a lecture. A little thought makes all the difference.
Choose comfort before correction
When someone is hurting, reach for verses of comfort and presence rather than instruction. The Comfort and Peace themes in the generator are good places to begin.
Keep it short
One verse, with its reference, is usually enough. A single, well-chosen line is easier to receive than a paragraph.
Add a personal word
“I thought of you when I read this” says more than any explanation of the verse. Let the Scripture speak, and let your note simply show you care.
Make it beautiful

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
